About the “Tändstickspalatset”:
At the end of the 1920s, the “Tändstickspalatset” was designed as the head office for Svenska Tändsticksaktiebolaget, with Match King and entrepreneur, Ivar Kreuger, in charge. Kreuger was at the peak of his career – as head of a global empire with offices in a number of major cities. The architect behind the “Tändstickspalatset” is Ivar Tengbom, who has enjoyed great successes with several renowned buildings, including the Stockholm Concert Hall, where the Nobel Prize ceremony is held every year.
